At this time, the weed control is anticipated as a part of the Ross Lake Improvement project, but we do not have authorization to initiate any design or implementation of work. We will not have an estimated time to do so until we complete the data collection and environmental study portion of the projects. We recognize this can be frustrating for adjacent property owners and recreational users of the lake and appreciate your desire to help with weed control independent of the project timeline/funding constraints. For questions around timing for private landowners to do work on their own time/cost, please contact the City Manager, Shannon Sirpilla, or Gladwin County Deputy Drain Commissioner, Lucy Zeestraten. Thank you.
