NOTICE OF PROJECT PLANNING PUBLIC HEARING

Appendix I

The City of Beaverton will hold a public hearing on the proposed Clean Water project plan for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons.

The hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, at the City of Beaverton City Hall located at 128 Saginaw St., Beaverton, Michigan 48612.

The purpose of the proposed project is to eliminate any a public health risks due to deficiencies in the treatment and collection system.

Project construction will involve improvements to the wastewater collection and treatment system as identified in the City CIP. Improvements include upgrades to the main lift station, new emergency generator, lagoon improvements, gravity sewer line replacement and manhole lining to reduce excess inflow and infiltration.

Impacts of the proposed project will be repairing of the sewer system, lagoons and lift stations to eliminate the public health risk possibilities. Short term construction related impacts include increased noise and dust that is temporary in nature during construction of the improvements.

The estimated cost to the users for the proposed project will be dependent upon final Project Scope, Project Costs, potential Grants and or Principal Forgiveness awards.  

Copies of the plan detailing the proposed project are available for inspection at the City of Beaverton City Hall located at 128 Saginaw St., Beaverton, Michigan 48612.
