The City of Beaverton in cooperation with a grant from Consumers Energy, will soon be planting several new trees in the City right of way on various streets and in the downtown area. The grant comes from the Consumers Forestry Operations Street and Boulevard Planting program, and will place 15 new trees, many in recently improved street boulevards including Saginaw, Brown, Tonkin, Glidden and M-18. Residents are encouraged to assist in care of the trees by watering until the trees are fully established and using caution when mowing and doing other maintenance around them.
